Police officer detained for raping teacher

A POLICE in southwest Sichuan Province was detained for allegedly raping a female teacher after he cheated her to go to a hotel to help with their investigation into her ex-husband's fraud case.
The suspect, surnamed Liu, is an officer with the Jingyang District Public Security Bureau in Deyang City. He found the 28-year-old victim, her name not revealed, at her middle school in the afternoon of last Friday, the local Huaxi Metropolitan Daily reported today.
Liu told the woman to cooperate with their investigation into a fraud case involving her ex-husband, surnamed Shi. Without any suspicion, the woman followed him to a teahouse where she met two other men Liu introduced as his colleagues.
The woman said she began to feel dizzy and asked for leave but was stopped by the three. Liu took her to a hotel room and raped her. Afterwards, Liu even questioned her about her ex-husband's background.
The woman reported to police the next day. The case was still under investigation, local police said.
