Police probe official's fatal fall

POLICE in central Hunan Province are investigating the death of a government official who fell from a hotel building on Sunday morning.
Zhou Qihan, the 55-year-old deputy director of Xiangtan City Commerce Bureau, fell from a window on the fourth floor of the city's Zhicheng Business Hotel at about 3am on Sunday, according to an unnamed resident living near the hotel.
Zhou's body was found lying on the ground in the hotel's backyard at 9am by a security guard, Xiaoxiang Morning Herald reported today.
Interview requests to the bureau went unanswered.
