Police seize master-hacker suspects
POLICE in central China's Hubei Province have arrested three masterminds who allegedly ran the country's biggest Website to train computer hackers, with more than 170,000 registered members.
Police in Huanggang City said that 3800cc.com, or Black Hawk Safety Net, was the largest hacker Website in China, with more than 12,000 users who paid 600 yuan (US$87.90) for VIP access.
The VIP accounts could download Trojan software and other weapons. Police have closed the Website, frozen more than 1.7 million yuan in its account, and seized nine Internet servers and three computers.
Police said they traced the Website after six people attacked the system in a Net café in Macheng, paralyzing the city's Internet connection, according to Legal Daily today.
Three of the six suspects confessed they learned their hacking skills from the Website, paying 1,500 yuan for the killer software.
