Policeman a suspect in cop killing

A DRUNKEN police officer allegedly shot his colleague to death and injured a passer-by yesterday in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
Tan Ningjiang, the chief of a police bureau in Laibin City, allegedly fired five gun shots at his colleague Xie Gang after having dinner together at a roadside eatery.
A passer-by named Li Jinfen was wounded in the incident, the Xinhua news agency reported.
Tan and eight others were having dinner in the eatery after work and Tan was said to be intoxicated.
It was still unknown why Tan suddenly took out the gun and fired it.
Xie died after emergency treatment failed and Li is still hospitalized, Xinhua said.
