Police officers raided a party for Man Wenjun's wife, Li Li, at the Coco Banana in Beijing on Monday night. Both Man and his wife tested positive for drugs. Nine others at the party were also detained for using drugs, Yangtze Evening News reported today.
The club was reportedly popular among people in the music business and with many mainland celebrities.
Man's company said they were shocked and ashamed and hoped Man would learn a lesson.
Man was an image ambassador for children suffering from cerebral palsy from 2007 and donated 930,000 yuan in October as well as supporting 60 young patients.
However, his title might be revoked by the China Association of Social Work Child Welfare League of China.
