Probe into PA-driven test scam
THE government of northeast China's Jilin Province is investigating a government worker-recruitment test during which the answers were broadcast through the PA system.
The test was held last Saturday in the Tonghua City No. 9 Middle School, Xinhua reported yesterday.
As the test was in progress, a series of numbers announced by a woman came through the classroom's speakers.
Surprised sitters and supervisors realized the numbers were answers to the test.
Supervisors rushed to the radio room and switched off the broadcasting system.
Test sitters must take another exam on April 25.
In southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, 28 people, including government workers, were detained last week for leaking this year's government worker-recruitment test.
Xiao Hua, Party secretary of the Guangxi Personnel and Social Security Bureau, resigned over the scandal.
