Problems for passengers across China
HEAVY fog shrouded large parts of central and eastern China yesterday, delaying flights and stranding thousands of passengers.
The National Meteorological Center said affected regions included northeast China's Liaoning Province and the North China Plain and most regions south of the Yangtze River.
A thick haze blanketed Beijing and visibility in most parts of the city was reduced to 500 meters.
A cold front is forecast to bring high winds and snow to north and northeastern China over the next three days.
