Public urged to cooperate with authorities
Chinese authorities are urging people from countries where MERS infections have been reported to fully cooperate with local inspection and quarantine authorities when they enter China’s mainland.
Shanghai’s health authority has designated two hospitals for the treatment of people with MERS. Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center will deal with adults, while the Children’s Hospital of Fudan University will treat youngsters.
Meanwhile, 15 cruise ships based in Shanghai are dropping South Korea from their itineraries.
