Quake hits
AN earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale hit the China-Kirgizstan border yesterday, said the seismological network in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
The epicenter of quake, which hit at 8:29am, was about 150km southwest of Oqar County in the Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture of Kizilsu. The tremor was clearly felt in at least three Oqar County villages but there were no reports of casualties, said a government spokesman.
