This picture taken at Tanhua Village in Hebei Province yesterday shows the Quadrantid meteor shower, the first of the year. The meteor reached the peak at 3:30am yesterday. The zenithal hourly rate of this shower can be as high as the Perseids in August and the Geminids in December. — Xinhua
