Recalled bullet trains to resume operation

CHINESE bullet trains recalled due to a series of technical failures are expected to resume operation on November 16.
Problems experienced with the CRH380BL bullet train, which operated on the Shanghai-Beijing High-Speed Railway, have been fixed, an industry insider told today's Beijing News.
The overhauled trains have been running trial operations along the high-speed railway for a while, the unnamed insider told the newspaper.
A total of 54 trains were recalled by Changchun Railway Vehicle Co, a subsidiary of China CNR Corp, the nation's No. 2 train maker, in August after the trains were plagued by a series of breakdowns.
The recall also came after the Ministry of Railways had ordered Changchun to halt production. The firm has reportedly made about a quarter of the trains currently running along the Shanghai-Beijing High-speed Railway.
