Refinery In Flames
FIRE broke out at an oil refinery in Guangdong Province early yesterday morning.
The blaze at the Huizhou refinery was put out within five hours and operator China National Offshore Oil Corp said no one was injured and no oil had leaked.
Flames shot 100 meters into the air and some people living nearby fled in panic, the Xinhua news agency reported. China Guangdong Nuclear Power, owner of the Daya Bay and Ling'ao nuclear power plants near the refinery, said the atomic stations were not affected.
