AREAS along the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River should get a break from the torrential rain over the next three days while western regions will still be affected, forecasters said.
As the rain belt moves west, parts of Gansu and Shaanxi provinces as well as areas of the Sichuan Basin were due to endure downpours from last night and more parts of the country will be hit by rain from tomorrow.
