Rescue launched for 7 trapped miners in Heilongjiang
RESCUERS are attempting to find seven workers trapped underground after a coal mine was flooded yesterday in northeast China.
The flooding occurred at around 3:30 pm at the privately-owned Guoming mine, in Baoqing county, Shuangyashan city, Heilongjiang Province, a city official said today.
The circumstances of the trapped workers were unknown, said the official.
Work safety officials were investigating the cause of the accident.
