Rescuers find body from oil platform accident
RESCUERS found the body of one worker yesterday and continue to search for the other missing worker, after an oil platform tilted in the Bohai Sea Tuesday, a Sinopec Shengli Oilfield Co. Ltd. official said today.
The accident happened at 6:52pm Tuesday on the No. 3 platform of Shengli Oilfield. Four workers fell into the sea while 32 others were trapped on the platform. Two of the four who fell into the sea and the 32 on the platform were rescued, leaving the two missing in the sea.
Some 124 vehicles, including 91 boats and five helicopters, began searching for the two from Wednesday.
