Reward for missing 9-year-old
POLICE in Chongqing city have revealed details of an abduction to combat rumors that students have been kidnapped and killed for organ harvesting.
Nine-year-old girl Tong Ting was reported missing on December 27. Police have offered 2,000 yuan (US$292) reward for information leading to the girl.
Tong's grandmother Zeng Yixiu told police that she didn't return home after school on December 26. A classmate said she saw her in an amusement park six days after she was reported missing.
Police said this was the only case of a missing child in recent months, dismissing rumors as groundless.
