Reward for robbers who killed hero citizen
A REWARD of 20,000 yuan (US$2,930) has been offered by Guangdong police to help catch thieves who killed a 63-year-old man who tried to stop them stealing washing machines.
Cai Changlu, 63, stood in front of their van to prevent their escape – but the gang ran him over and dragged him for about 30 meters, reported today's Chongqing Economic Times.
The van then stopped, turned around and ran him over again, a warehouse worker surnamed Liao told the newspaper.
Police are offering the reward to catch the men, who drove a white Jinbei van, according to Wen Guanhua from Guangzhou's Public Security Bureau Shunde District branch in south China's Guangdong Province.
