Reward offered for man suspected in slayings of 3 teenage girls

Police in Anhui Province are offering a reward of 100,000 yuan (US$16,200) for tips leading to the capture of a man suspected of killing three teenage girls since 2007, Chutian Metropolis Daily reported today.

Jiang Wangjing, a 29-year-old Hubei native, has been listed as a most wanted suspect after being suspected of a murder in May, when an 11-year-old girl was raped and killed in the city of Anqing. Jiang reportedly broke into the victim’s house the evening of May 18, hit the girl’s head with a sharp metal object, then raped and killed her, dumping her body afterwards, the report said.

Police in Anhui and Hubei provinces are jointly searching for the man who is also suspected of killing two teenage girls in Hubei in 2007, the report said. His DNA, kept in the national database, reportedly was matched with evidence in those crimes, the report said.
