Road Cleared By Police After Protest
Traffic on an expressway in Jiangxi Province resumed last night after hundreds of furniture makers and dealers were cleared by police after blocking the road to protest a proposed tax crackdown.
Most of the protesters had left by 11:45pm, and order was restored on the Nankang section of 105 national highway and the expressway linking the northeastern Heilongjiang Province and the southern Guangdong Province.
