Scaffolding falls

FOUR people were killed and four others were injured on Saturday night after scaffolding at a building construction site in Guangzhou City, in southern China's Guangdong Province, collapsed, a provincial government spokesman said yesterday. A witness said the scaffolding at the Huahuashijie construction site in Tianhe District started collapsing from the third floor at about 10pm. The injured were rushed to hospital and the cause of the accident is being investigated.
