School bus driver held for drunk driving
A SCHOOL bus driver who drank before driving children home from school has been detained for 15 days and fined 4,500 yuan (US$659), a Hangzhou-based newspaper reported today.
Police found the man surnamed Wang had faked his driving license and was illiterate, according to Qianjiang Evening News in eastern China's Zhejiang Province.
Police stopped Wang's bus when he kept blowing his horn in Ningbo City around 2pm on Friday. He was taking 12 students home from a private school.
They smelled alcohol on his breath and he was found to have 39mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood, over the limit of 20mg.
Wang confessed he drank alcohol that afternoon and his uncle in his hometown in Anhui Province faked the license for him.
