School doc suspended after beating 9 girls

A DOCTOR with a primary school clinic in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has been suspended from her job after allegedly beating nine girls with an iron rod when they disrupted her nap.

The girls, all grade-four pupils at Tumote Left Banner School - a boarding school including a primary school and a kindergarten in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia's capital - went to the clinic to pick some cold medicine during the lunch break on Friday, the North News reported today.

He Xiuqing, the doctor in her 40s who was napping at the clinic, was awoken by the girls and became angry, the report said.

An unnamed school official alleged that the doctor verbally abused them, slapped their faces and used an iron rod to beat them, according to North News.
