IT was an obsessed doomsday believer who lacerated 23 children and one adult outside a school last Friday morning in central Henan Province, police said after initial investigation.
Min Yongjun, a 36-year-old native in Guangshan County, slashed the faces of 23 students and an adult outside the Wanquan Primary School in Chenpeng Village. Four suffered serious cuts but none was in critical condition, Xinhua News Agency reported today.
The man was arrested for disturbing public safety, Xinhua said.
Min reportedly has a history of mental disorder and was having an epileptic seizure when he attacked innocent students.

Most of them are middle-aged women who distributed leaflets warning the public the approach of the doomsday.
