School principal, government clerk face rape charge
A school principal and a local government employee will be charged with rape after reportedly spending a night with primary school girls in hotels, the local procuratorate said yesterday.
Chen Zaipeng and Feng Xiaosong have been transferred to the procuratorate after police completed its investigation, the People's Procuratorate of Wanning City in south China's Hainan Province said in a statement.
Chen has been sacked from his post as the principal of Wanning No. 2 Primary School while Feng was a clerk at the city's property administration bureau.
The two men were arrested earlier this month on suspicion of molesting children. Police said Chen took four girls into a hotel while Feng took two girls to another hotel on the evening of May 8.
The girls are all in the sixth grade and aged between 11 and 14, with five from Wanning Houlang Primary School and one from Wanning Siyuan Experimental School.
