School seeking apology from Ajisen Ramen for misquotes

A China Agricultural University faculty said on Wednesday that their school will demand an apology from Ajisen Ramen, a popular Japanese fast-food noodle chain, for misquoting its nutrition evaluation report in advertising.

Luo Yunbo, dean of the university's Institute of Food Science and Nutrition Engineering, said they did the research at the request of the Chinese Culinary Association and thought it was for scientific purpose, Money.163.com, a Chinese news portal, reported today.

Luo said they released the report in 2006, not knowing Ajisen Ramen would quote it its official website to prove the high collagen content of its noodle soup.

Luo said the institute would demand an apology from the company, but they haven't contacted the company over the issue yet.
