Second fatal stabbing at university

A STUDENT at Sichuan University in southwest China stabbed his roommate to death last night – the second fatal stabbing on campus in nine days, China News Service reported today.

According to the university, a business school sophomore surnamed Chen had a dispute with his roommate identified as Wang over trivial matters around 7pm in their dorm.

Chen took up a fruit knife and stabbed Wang in the neck, the report said. Wang died after massive bleeding and Chen surrendered himself to police.

Nine days earlier, a male student in the university killed a girl student and injured another two men beside the lake on campus, according to CNS.

That dispute was said to be over young love.
