Senior political advisor from NE China stabbed to death in lift over relocation dispute: report

A senior political advisor from Liaoyuan City, northeast China’s Jilin Province was killed over disputes related to demolition and relocation, Caijing Magazine reported Tuesday on its website.

Sun Qing’an, vice chairman of the city’s people’s political consultative conference committee, was allegedly stabbed in his neck and chest when he and his wife were taking a lift in his residential building on Sunday. It's unclear whether his wife was injured, the report said.

The suspect, who fled the scene, was said to be a 38-year-old man who was relocated due to the development of local economic zone, it reported.
