SEVEN miners have been killed in a gas outburst in central China's Hunan province today, local authorities said.
The accident occurred at about 6:45am at the Xiangzhong Coal Mine in the city of Lianyuan, the city government said in a press release. Thirty nine managed to escape.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is under way.
