Sex scandal sackings
Six government officials in central China’s Hunan Province have been removed from their posts over sex scandals.
Discipline inspection authorities in Hengyang City decided to remove Zhao Anmin from his post as the head of the city’s health bureau yesterday.
The others sacked were named as Yin Wen, vice president of the Changning City committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Kang Junliang, vice president of the Hengshan County committee, and Leiyang City officials Duan Dinghua, Shi Dongsheng and Liu Honghan.
The officials have been transferred to discipline inspection and public security offices for further investigation.
A gang of six people, including two females, seduced officials to have sex with the females and used hidden cameras to record the acts for extortion. From May to November in 2010, the six officials fell for the conspiracy and were blackmailed by the gang.
