Sex-video judge detained and charged

A JUDGE in east China's Zhejiang Province who was involved in a sex video was detained yesterday and charged over his corrupt lifestyle and for taking bribes.

The husband of the judge's mistress made the video after learning of their affair and handed it over to the supervisory authorities in Jinhua City after negotiations with the judge broke down, the City Express reported.

Jinhua discipline authorities began investigating the judge, Guo Jian, after receiving the video and hearing other reports suggesting Guo had been taking bribes.

Guo was removed from his post on February 23.

Born in 1968, Guo had been deputy presiding judge at Jinhua's Wucheng District Court since September, 2007.
