Shenzhen airport oil tank leaks, no fire reported
A 2,000-ton oil storage tank leaked in the Shenzhen airport in the south China city bordering Hong Kong around 11am today but no fire or casualties have been reported.
Xinhua News Agency quoted the Guangdong Province Fire Department as saying the leaked petrol was for kerosene rather than for airplanes.
People in the vicinity of the leaked tank have been evacuated and firefighters are still trying to plug the leak.
An investigation into the cause of the fuel leak is still ongoing, Xinhua said.
