Sinkhole death probed in Shenzhen

Police have launched an investigation after a security guard died after being swallowed up by a sinkhole in Shenzhen in Guangdong Province.
Video footage showed the guard walking away from a construction site in Jing Zhou Residential district when the ground suddenly caved in beneath him, causing him to plunge four stories into a pit.
Attempts to revive the man failed and he died of his injuries.
Residents reported cracks and signs of damage around the only road entrance and exit to the building site.
An investigation into the cave-in is under way.
