Six murdered were deaf and mute thieves
THE murder of six people in northwest China's Qinghai Province on Sunday turned out to be an internal fight of a gang of deaf and mute thieves.
The suspect admitted stabbing six leaders of the gang while they slept because "they kept beating him up as he could not steal anything," according to Xinhua news agency.
Chen Xiaobing, 21, also tried to kill another two by setting fire to their room. The two smashed the window and jumped out. One of them was seriously hurt.
Chen was nabbed as he tried to flee the scene.
Police said members of the gang had been caught stealing on buses in the city many times.
Chen has been detained since he was caught by police.
