Six teams from Chinese universities won financial supports as innovation contest concludes
A team from China University of Mining and Technology won the final of the first national online start-up and innovation contest for university students on Wednesday with its robot enabling users to learn robot assembling and software designing.
The six final teams, including the champion and one team from Donghua University in Shanghai, won financial supports ranged from 50,000 to 200,000 yuan from Yangpu District government.
The contest kicked off on June 25 last year and attracted 722 teams from 202 universities.
35 of them entered the semifinal of the contest and were listed automatically as this year's final candidates of Shanghai Technology Entrepreneurship Foundation for Graduates, which will provide each winner up to 500,000 yuan of interest-free loans.
