AN airport in the capital of northeast China's Jilin Province was closed last night after heavy snow hit the city. Changchun Longjia International Airport was shut down at about 6:20pm. All the incoming and outbound flights after that were canceled. Some 1,000 people stranded at the airport had been relocated to several hotels. The airport was expected to resume operation this morning.
