Soldiers Preferred
DEMOBILIZED soldiers who register for a civil servant examination or apply for a position in government institutions will be given preference as the country's top legislature amended the Military Service Law yesterday.
Government agencies, public institutions and enterprises are now obliged to employ demobilized service persons and give them preference in cases where their qualifications are equal to other candidates. The amendment also lowered the recruitment age for military service from 18 to 17.
