Soprano makes cross-Strait debut

FAMOUS soprano Song Zuying will make her debut in Taiwan for the first time in November.

She will sing the theme song with more than 100 singers from Chinese mainland and Taiwan during a show on November 24 in Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, Xiamen Daily reported today.

The concert is under the umbrella of an art series organized by Gao Zhanxiang, vice president of China Federation of Literature and Art Circles.

Song will also meet Taiwan leader Ma Ying-jeou and Kuomingtang Chairman Wu Poh-hsiung, the report said.

And a mainland art exhibition will be held on November 26 at National Chung Hsing University.

About 80 singers and artists from Chinese mainland will attend the show.
