Stabbed after sex taunt
A WAITRESS who stabbed two government officials, leaving one dead and one injured, in central China's Hubei Province may have been insane during the attack, police investigations indicate.
The father of the waitress, Deng Yujiao, said she was often unstable and had been taking anti-depressants for a long time, today's Xinwen Evening News reported.
Police said a psychiatrist will examine Deng to decide whether she was suffering from depression when she attacked the officials.
Deng Guida, 44, dean of the business promotion office with Yesanguan Town government of Hubei's Badong County, and two colleagues visited a local entertainment venue where Deng Yujiao worked after taking alcohol on the night of May 10, police said.
One of Huang's colleagues, Huang Dezhi, asked Deng Yujiao for sex but was refused. She said she was a waitress.
After arguing Deng Yujiao was about to leave the room when Deng Guida pulled out a thick wad of banknotes to show her and then tried to push her on to a sofa.
Deng Yujiao tried to escape but was again pushed down by the dean. She pulled out a knife and stabbed Deng Guida three times and slashed Huang's right arm when he tried to help Deng Guida.
Deng Guida was pronounced dead on the way to hospital.
The waitress called the police herself.
