Stars strike gold in Taipei
Taiwan actor Lee Kang-sheng (left) and mainland actress Zhang Ziyi display their trophies after they were named Best Leading Actor and Best Leading Actress for “Stray Dogs” and “The Grandmaster,” respectively, at the 50th Golden Horse Film Awards in Taipei last night. Stars from China and Singapore gathered in Taipei for this year’s event with Singaporean drama “Ilo. Ilo”named best feature film. Wong Kar-wai’s martial arts epic “The Grandmaster” had been leading the race with 11 nominations but was only honored for Zhang’s performance and in four minor categories.
