'Starving' girl draws sympathy and help

A 15-year-old girl in Chongqing, a municipality in southwest China, is getting free hospital examination and people's donations after she drew media attention with her abnormally big and torturing appetite.
A local hospital has admitted her for a thorough medical examination to find the cause of her disorder.
The girl from Yunyang County of Chongqing needs to eat eight meals and 5 kilos of rice a day, otherwise, she would feel starving. But she always throws up quickly after eating and becomes hungry again shortly.
Her enormous appetite became unbearable for her poverty-stricken family.
After her plight was reported by local media, Chongqing health authorities and a hospital offered help to the girl and her family. Some people also donated money to them.
