Studying abroad aids job search
More than 85 percent of overseas-educated Chinese who have returned to China have found jobs within six months, according to a report released yesterday.
About 65 percent of returnees find jobs in three months while 21 percent find employment between three and six months. Only 5.5 percent need more than one year to find work, said a report issued by the Center for China and Globalization and the Social Sciences Academic Press.
Most of the talents majored in finance, economics, management and engineering, according to the report.
The overseas-educated talents have set up numerous associations in recent years to facilitate communication and efforts to start businesses, the report said.
By the end of 2012, 2.64 million students had studied abroad with 1.09 million returning to the country.
