Super sucker a burden for her parents

PARENTS of a newborn girl who weighed 6.8 kilogram 10 days after birth had to stretch their money to feed their baby's growing stomach, City Evening News reported today.

Pan Shudi, the 26-year-old mother in Tonghua of the northeast Jilin Province, said she had to feed the infant at least six times a day with breast milk and milk powder. The baby could finish a package of milk powder in three days, making it a burden for the working-class family.

Pan said she didn't sense anything unusual in the early stage of her pregnancy. But her belly swarm almost twice than that of others later, which pushed her weight to 100 kilograms. Pan said she didn't have a nutrient diet due to the family's economic condition.

So far, the family has spent 8,000 yuan to cover her medical bills including one dip for treating hypoglycemia, a disease commonly seen among big babies. She is also getting hungry more frequently than others and will cry aloud if being left unattended.
