HOLLYWOOD movie 鈥淎vengers: Age of Ultron鈥 took 973 million yuan (US$156.8 million) at the box office last week.
The action-fantasy, based on Marvel comic characters, opened in China on May 12.
Second best for ticket sales last week was the action-fantasy 鈥淐happie,鈥 with 21.5 million yuan, China Film News reported yesterday.
Third place went to local movie 鈥淵ou Are My Sunshine,鈥 with 17.7 million yuan, it said.
