Susan Boyle dreams of cracking China

THE first album by Scottish singer Susan Boyle will be on sale in China by the end of year, Sony Music Entertainment Ltd said.

"I Dreamed A Dream" will be released overseas from November 23 and has become a best-selling album in pre-sales, Shanghai Morning Post reported today.

The 47-year-old Scottish singer came to international attention on April 11 when she appeared in a British TV talent show singing "I Dreamed a Dream." She came second overall.

Orders for her album have exceeded the Beatles in Britain and Whitney Houston in the United States, the report said.

But business insiders estimated sales won't be good in China as many fans would download it from the Internet.
