Suspect nabbed in arson attack on consulate
A man who allegedly set fire at the Chinese Consulate in San Francisco was arrested by US police, China News Service reported today.
Specific details were not revealed, according to the report.
In the evening of January 1 (local time), the suspect poured two buckets of gas on the consulate’s front gate, which was severely damaged in the resulting fire. No one was injured in the attack.
The arson attack is not being investigated as an act of terrorism, said US officials.
