Suspected ketamine haul

HONG Kong Customs said yesterday that 4 kilograms of suspected ketamine, worth about HK$476,000 (US$61,340), was seized at Shenzhen Bay Control Point. Hong Kong customs officers intercepted an incoming private car on Sunday night and found the suspected drugs in a rucksack. Two men were arrested. Upon follow-up investigations, customs officers arrested a woman in Kwai Chung for possession of a small quantity of drugs and drugs apparatus. The three suspects have been detained for suspected drug trafficking, possession of a dangerous drug and possession of apparatus fit for inhaling a dangerous drug. The maximum penalty for drug trafficking in Hong Kong is life imprisonment and a fine of HK$5 million.
