Suspension after ‘porn in the office’
An official in northwest China’s Gansu Province has been suspended after claims by reporters that he was watching pornographic videos at work, local authorities said yesterday.
The county government of Huining decided to suspend the local transport bureau’s deputy head after reporters from Gansu-based Western Economic Daily said they had found him watching a porn movie, Huining’s publicity department said.
The reporters were conducting an undercover investigation at the local government department when they spotted the official watching the movie in his office. The official begged the reporters not to say anything, the newspaper said in its report on Saturday’s.
According to the report, more than 200 porn movies were found on the official’s computer.
The publicity department said the decision to suspend him came after a preliminary investigation by the local disciplinary watchdog.
