Taiwan, HK hit
Taiwan and Hong Kong reported a total of four new swine flu cases yesterday.
Taiwan's three cases in the same day involved a woman returning from the Philippines and two students flying back from the United States.
Hong Kong reported its fourth confirmed case of the H1N1 virus - a female student who recently came back from the US.
The patient, a 19-year-old local resident studying in America, returned from New York to Hong Kong onboard Cathay Pacific flight CX831 on Monday.
She was on the same flight taken by a Taiwanese man who was confirmed as the first swine flu patient in Taiwan on Wednesday.
The woman did not develop flu symptoms until Thursday and was then taken to Princess Margaret Hospital for quarantine. Health officials said her parents will also receive medical checks.
