Taiwan bans GM food

Taiwan鈥檚 legislature yesterday banned school canteens from using genetically modified food, such as vegetables or tofu.
The ban is part of a revision to a decree on school sanitation that covers canteens.
An inspection will be led by education, agriculture and health authorities every year to ensure schools and colleges adhere to the ruling.
