Taiwan sex attacker who filmed assaults is jailed
A TAIWAN man was yesterday sentenced to 22 years and four months in prison for sexually assaulting nine women and filming the acts.
Justin Lee, the son of a well-known businessman, was jailed for 18 years and a half for nine counts of assault, the Taipei district court said.
He was sentenced to a further three years and 10 months for making sex videos without the women’s consent and invading their privacy.
The court said there was not enough evidence to convict Lee, 28, of aggravated sexual assault by drugging victims, as prosecutors had requested.
“Lee should have collaborated with the authorities to clarify the case but he fled and tried to avoid being investigated, which caused a waste of social and judicial resources ... he has shown no remorse,” the court said in a statement.
Lee’s lawyer told reporters he would appeal the ruling.
